This article pertains to members of an enterprise account who have been assigned a Training Plan by an administrator. If you are an enterprise member or personal account user, see also Assigning Yourself a Training Plan.
When an administrator assigns a Training Plan to a team or individual member, each member of the team or individual member receives a notification email.
The email contains a link to the Cloud Academy user dashboard. The image below shows an example of the dashboard.
Once a team has an assigned Training Plan, the dashboard for the members of that team focuses on the Training Plan. From the dashboard, users can easily:
- Track their own progress as a percentage of completed content and against the Training Plan due date.
- See their average exam score.
- See an overview of the Training Plan contents.
- Resume training where they left off in the last session.
Tip: Even before the team has any assigned Training Plans, the dashboard still offers team members access to the Cloud Academy library for discovery and independent learning.
Most team members start at 0% completion and watch their progress build over time. However, some team members may start with greater than 0% completion. That's because the team member may have completed content that is included in the Training Plan, either as part of a different Training Plan or in independent learning.
Team members automatically receive weekly emails that summarize their progress and encourage them to keep training to meet the due date. The image below shows an example of the email.
If a team member falls behind schedule, their status changes to X days behind and the system sends them a special reminder email. Administrators can also send reminders emails through the Members tab of the Training Plan screen.
If the administrator or team manager adds a new member to a team that has been assigned a Training Plan, that new member is also assigned the Training Plan. New members may need to work fast to complete a training plan on time if they joined the team close to the due date, but the new member still appears in On Track status, so the system doesn't send the reminder emails.
