This article covers the features of the Analytics screen. The Analytics screen is available in enterprise accounts. Administrators, team managers, and stakeholders can access the Analytics screen.
This article contains the following sections:
- Analytics Screen
- Learning Activities
The Analytics screen shows how much time members, teams, and your whole company have spent on learning activities.
Navigating to the Analytics Screen
To navigate to the Analytics screen from the dashboard, click the company menu icon that appears in the upper left corner:
Click the Intelligence icon, and then click Analytics from the menu that appears.
The configuration tools at the top of the screen let you control whose data you see on the screen.
In the first field, you can choose Company, Teams, or Members:
- If you choose Company, you see data for everyone in your organization.
- If you choose Teams, a nested list of teams appears where you can search or navigate the team hierarchy to find the one you want. If you choose a team that has subteams, the subteams' information is included in the analytics.
- If you choose Members, a list of users appears where you can search or just scroll. You must select a team or user from the list.
The second field controls the date range of the data on the screen. You can choose:
- last 7 days
- last 30 days
- last 90 days
- last week
- last year
If you select the Compare to check box, you can choose a second team or user to include in the analytics. The analytics for the two teams appear on the same graphs, but in different colors so that you can easily compare, as you can see in the graphic below.
The left side of the Analytics screen shows small graphs for time spent on Courses, Quizzes, Exams, Hands-on Labs, Resources, and Learning Paths. If you click one of these graphs, you can drill into detail information about the time spent on that learning activity.
In the following example, you see a single user's time dedicated to courses.
When you drill down to this level, you can see the individual courses in addition to the graph over time and where the user stands on the leaderboard. You can click on the individual courses to dig even deeper.
In the Courses section of the screen, you can click Time Spent, Courses Started, and Courses Completed to change what the line graph shows.
On the right side of the Analytics screen is a graph showing overall time spent by the users you selected and in the date range you selected.
The Cumulative switch toggles the graph between showing the absolute value for each time period on the graph to showing the value to-date for that time period on the graph. You can click Time Spent, Activities Started, and Activities Completed to change the graph to show those specific values.
Below the Overall graph you can find the Leaderboard.
The members who appear on this leaderboard depend on your configuration of the Analytics screen. For example, if you choose to show analytics for a team, only the team members appear in this list. You can choose between listing Users or Teams in the leaderboard. Click the name of a user or a team to view data for that person or team.
