Getting Started: Job Role Path

Welcome to Cloud Academy! When you first get started as an individual user, the system asks you a few questions. These questions help us suggest content that will help you get the most out of your subscription right away. For example, the graphic below shows the second question the system asks:

This article covers the steps you take when your answer to this question is to Advance my career.

Note: You can opt out of the following steps by clicking the browse our library link at the bottom of the screen. You can always choose your goals later, as described later in this article.

When your goal is to advance your career, you next option is to Select a job role:

The job role that you choose determines which training the system suggests you try. 

A few things to notice on this screen:

• You can click Select a different goal or Select a different job role in the upper right corner to go back to previous steps in the wizard.
• When you've found a job role you're interested in, you can click the Preview content link to see what the training plan includes.
• When you're ready, click Select. (No pressure; you can always change your mind later!)

Once you've selected a training plan, the Review your plan and get started step appears:

Here you see an overview of what's going to be involved in your studying.

Tip: You can click each icon in the study path for a description of that step.

When you're ready, click Get Started.

Tip: Don't worry about the note about studying 3 hours per week. You choose your own training commitment, and you can change it at any time!

At last, you're in the platform and ready to get down to training for your new job role! You see your assigned training plan on the My Training tab of the dashboard. If you'd like to change anything about your training plan, use the menu with the three vertical dots, next to the Start button.

From here you can change the due date/weekly time commitment, disable nudges, change the title of your training plan assignment, or delete this training plan so you can choose a different one. If you get started and realize this isn't the right training plan for you after all, you can always start this process over from your Account screen. Just choose Update your Study Plan to start the process again.
