This article describes the search tool you can use to find interesting content in the training library. You can go directly to the training library to access the search bar at the top of the screen, but the search bar also remains in the top toolbar while you navigate through most of the application. So, you can type in a word and begin a search from wherever you happen to be in the platform.
Tip: For tips on what to enter in the search bar, see Optimizing Your Search.
Search Toolbar Tools
After you enter a search term and press enter (or click the magnifying glass), the search results appear.
You can use the All Platforms dropdown to the left of the search term to filter the search results by platform. You can choose to see results related to:
- Amazon Web Services
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- All Platforms
You can use the Sort by option to the right of the search term to sort results by Most Relevant or Most Recent.
Filtering the Search
In addition to the tools at the top of the screen, additional filters appear on the left side of the search results screen. You can select the checkboxes next to the values you want to include in your search. The search filters appear in three categories:
- Content: Filters the search results by content type.
- Difficulty: Filters the search results by difficulty level.
- Domain: Filters the search results by the topic covered. The full list of available domains is the same list that you can find and navigate in your Skill Profile.
The number to the right of the category shows how many results match that category, as you see in the image below.
If you select any of the checkboxes, the numbers update to reflect the count of how many of the search results match the checkbox you selected. For example, if you'd already chosen to filter based on the Quiz content type, the number next to Beginner would indicate only how many beginner-level quizzes were in your search results. Likewise, once you choose a Difficulty filter, the numbers next to the Content values change.
Removing Filters
Once you have added a filter, a Clear filters option appears just above the first search results. You can use this option to clear all your filters, including the Platform filter at the very top.
